I guess it's hard to understand if you really don't know what it's like, but I hate it when people make fun of others who are mentally handicapped. My brother, who's going to be in fourth grade, has autism. It's not severe, but it's not mild either. He can talk, walk, and a few other things on his own, but he needs a some assistance for things like eating and using the bathroom. Well, what I'm trying to say is, it's wrong to make fun of people who are less unfortunate. Also, how do you know the people you're talking to don't have a family member that's autistic or has some other disability?

I'll be honest, I do sometimes, but I know it's horrible. It's just when your around friends who do that, it's hard not to join in. We don't go up to them though, just behind their backs. I sound really terrible, I know, but I bet some people wouldn't be as honest as I am either.
oh p.s.
I'm not saying that anyone is lying here either. =P

I hate it when people make fun of them! My brother has autism too and is going into the 4th grade. He has sever autism, but he can still say some tings and ask for things. I'm glad that at least he doesnt care (or really know) that people make fun of him.

I think its truly terrible when ppl do this. If i see anyone do it, i point out at how rude and disrespectful they are being and to think about what they are saying and would they still say that stuff if there mom/dad was disabled ?
